Un po`di …noi

29.04.2014

I DOLCI SIGNORI’s third album release: since more then a decade the succesful italoband with its unique line up of german pro musicians and italian singers is touring in central europe and releases its new album. „Un po`di … noi!“ as a „piece of ourselves“ (engl.) shows a kind of „the best of“ the current live shows. It is the third album release after „Attenzione!“ (2003) and „Fermare il tempo“ (2009). I DOLCI SIGNORI can show their outstanding mixture of danceable songs influenced bei neapolitanian folk, italo- rock- songs, heartbreaking ballads, classical italian hits as well as some pieces of swing and rockabilly. „Un po`di … noi!“ as a gift to the great number of fans and as a „piece of ourselves“ shows the current picture of a band with a sublime combination of charisma, outstanding musical talent, entertainment and emotion.

the Band

I DOLCI SIGNORI – since their 2002 debut they have been on tour in almost exactly the same formation.
With their impressive and unique musical philosophy combining Italian joie de vivre, authenticity, profound musical professionalism and Mediterranean delight in making music, their music goes straight to the hearts of their constantly increasing number of fans.

Musica, passione, emozione – it is these three features that the two amazing singers Rocky Verardo and Gianni Carrera – both of them from Southern Italy – celebrate together with the four internationally successful top musicians in their own inimitable way and with great success. This is the reason why the six Signori are considered to be Germany’s most successful and most popular Italo-show band. Each year they fill their audience from Hamburg to Milano, from Sylt to Zermatt, from the North Sea to the Mediterranean with enthusiasm on their extensive summer tours. Additionally, the band boasts first class references for open air shows, in concert halls, on events and galas all over Europe and even across its borders in Abu Dhabi.

Gianni Carrera

Gianni Carrera

a native of Southern Italy, he is a musician with every fibre of his being. Born and raised in Luzzi, Calabria, Gianni studied music in Cosenza. He has been living in Germany since 2000. Due to his charismatic stage presence he has quickly become the heartthrob of the female I DOLCI SIGNORI fans. Another especially interesting detail about Gianni is his craftsmanship: he builds guitars by himself, and when you’re holding a genuine “Carrera” guitar in your hands, you’ll notice at once how much passion and love for the music are running through Gianni’s veins.

Rocky Verardo

Rocky Verardo

Rocky is “the shortest of the Signori and the man with the powerful voice…” (intro of the show). He grew up with the traditional music of his home, Salento, in the deepest South of Italy, and he decided to go northwards in 2000 in order to find his happiness here in Germany. He has found it both in music and in love and is now living in Bavaria with his family. With his intense and powerful voice the lead singer creates the fascination of the I DOLCI SIGNORI show that gives the audience goose bumps.

Ricardo Belli

Ricardo Belli

is genetically identical with Richie Necker, and it’s highly probable that he has Italian ancestry. He fits in beautifully with the set of an Italian band and he usually does the honours and opens the I DOLCI SIGNORI show with “..oggi e una belly giornata..”. Ricardo founded his first rock band at the tender age of eleven, and now he can rely on many years of experience as a musician in live shows, in the studio and in TV shows solo and with famous artists from almost all musical genres. He provides the music of I DOLCI SIGNORI with the necessary dose of rock´n roll.

Uli Rossi

Uli Rossi

is touring the world in his second identity as ULI ZRENNER- WOLKENSTEIN. Meanwhile only Australia and Antarctica are still missing in his global list of references as a successful bass player in the rock, jazz and classic genres. After many years of breathing Vienna’s cosmopolitan flair, where he discovered his love for Italian pop music after a Jovanotti concert, he is currently living with his family in Regensburg as well as on the stages around this world.

Bernardo „del fuego“ Meyer

Bernardo "del fuego" Meyer

,aka “il professore”, is responsible for the elaborate arrangements of I DOLCI SIGNORI. When he isn’t performing with I DOLCI SIGNORI, he calls himself BERND MEYER, and due to this clever strategy he has won himself the status of one of the most successful and most frequently booked keyboard and piano players in the south of Germany. He is also a successful arranger at the theatre and in musicals but it is only when he can unpack his favourite instrument, the accordion, while playing with I DOLCI SIGNORI that he feels sheer bliss.

Michele Foresta

Michele Foresta

is a true MICHAELTHOMAS lookalike and the “..world’s best percussionist…” (Rocky Verardo). He provides the rhythm of the show. After studying percussion in New York and Los Angeles he has used his drumset with great skill for raising the other band members’ as well as the fans’ enthusiasm since 2005. Rocky claims that Michele accidentally swallowed a metronome when he was a young boy and installed and integrated it into his body….
